Chadwick Stevenson is a native of Houston, Texas. He is an internationally recognized recording artist, singer, and musician. After graduating from Spring High School, he received his Bachelors of Theology at the C.H. Mason System of Bible Colleges and Institute, and his ordination as a Licensed minister, and elder from the Church Of God In Christ.
Pastor Chad has a wonderful and rich spiritual legacy. His grandfather, Dr. Allen J. Hines, was founder of the C.H. Mason System of Bible Colleges and Institute, and founder of both Garden of Gethsemane & Lamarque Chapel C.O.G.I.C. His father, Pastor Charles L. Stevenson, founder of the Olive Branch Church at Woodforest. Honoring this wonderful legacy of his father and mother, Dr. Carolyn Cecile Hines, Chad intensely pursues the work of ministry with sincerity of heart and determination of spirit.
Pastor Chad has been favored by God to effectively minister in different ways all around the world from his youth. He has been blessed to use his talents and gifts for the glory of God. When he was 10 years old he was featured at T.D. Jakes Manpower Conference where he recorded the theme song for the conference. In that same year Pastor Chad confessed Jesus as his personal Lord and savior, and that day he was filled with indwelling of the Holy Ghost on the altar of the Williams Temple COGIC, where he began to speak in tongues as his soul was set on fire. From that day on, Pastor Chad’s life would shift gears into higher heights and deeper depths.
Pastor Chad has recorded two albums independently and is currently working on his third project. He is the founder of Da Spot, an alternative setting for Christian young adults initiated in 2006 where over 500 Christian young adults gathered for music, food, and entertainment. Teaching young adults how to have fun and still hold to their Christian beliefs and disciplined lifestyle. Pastor Chad also organized the CSProfessional Group; providing production needs, while hosting the CSPRO Music Academy where he trains singers, musicians, and producers. In 2010, Pastor Chad began Committed To Ministry, an organization that prepares ministry leaders around the country; collaborating with world renown gospel artist and ministers such as; Dr. Dorinda Clark Cole, Kim Burrell, and Micah Stampley. Pastor Chad uses this as an opportunity to spiritually and skillfully train and inspire young ambitious minsters and kingdom creatives. In 2014 he was blessed to travel to Abuja, Nigeria to minister at the famous COZA ministries.
Pastor Chad was also the host and creator of the Citywide Thanksgiving Concert held every year at the Good Hope Baptist Church in the center of the City of Houston, bringing in artist from all over the country, and hosting over 2,000 attendees for a night of celebration and thanks.
Pastor Chad has served as the Vice-President for the Evangelism Department in the Church of God In Christ. He has served on the Finance Board for his local Jurisdiction. Pastor Chad is also an active board member of the Motif Awards for youth advocacy held in Los Angeles, California.
After working with some of the nation’s greatest preachers and singers, ministering in some of the most amazing conferences and community events, and serving as the minister of music for Bishop Leroy Woodard and the City Cathedral Church for almost a decade, Pastor Chad answered the call to begin a unique ministry in 2016. Believers Chapel was born.
In April of 2016, after two months in prayer and preparation with his core group, Pastor Chad launched his first service in the Galleria area at The Sheraton Houston Hotel, Tx with 19 members, and a few guests. Shortly after the church would celebrate its beginning with over 800 people in attendance. Bishops from multiple organizations came from Houston and surrounding areas to wish Believers Chapel well. International Gospel Artist Zacardi Cortez and many others came to sing and celebrate what the Lord was doing with Believers Chapel. Since that day the church has grown, and there are many testimonies of salvation, healing, and deliverance.
Believers Chapel has proven itself to be a God ordained ministry. The church matches Pastor Chad’s unique flair and approach, meshing his traditional Pentecostal COGIC roots with contemporary expressions. The church has succeeded in creating a culture of love, worship, Christian Education, and fellowship as they endeavor to incorporate the ultimate goal and mission in every event and program it hosts, which is to “Compel All Men To Believe In God.”
Pastor Chad is committed to preaching and teaching the Word of God to provoke real change, and growth in the lives of believers. He is constantly requested to speak around the country. His messages are filled with truth, conviction, honesty, transparency, and love. Everything that he endeavors to do is “to the praise of God’s glory!”
